Abstract
Objective To analyze the risk factors and preventive measures of male sex-related trauma (SRT). Methods:39 male patients, aged 17 to 50, admitted from 1993 to 2002, were reviewed. Among them, 4 were with traumatic lymphangitis of penis, 12 with rupture of penis, 9 with paraphimosis, 5 with frenum laceration, 2 with incarceration of penis in metallic ring, 1 with broken penile dorsal vein, 3 with urethral trauma and 3 with penis contusion or lacerations. Results: Low educational level, scarcity of sexual knowledge, congenital genitourinary deformities, rough masturbation, and abnormal forms of coitus including violent intercourse were the main risk factors. After immediate surgical and/or conservative treatment, there were no severe complications in 34 patient's follow-up from 3 months to 3.5 years. SRT in male was mainly occurred in sexually active adolescents. Conclu-sion: To prevent male SRT, some measures should be taken, including strengthening pre-adolescence and ado-lescence sex education, setting up sexual counseling service, avoiding the related risk factors and treating various related genitourinary diseases.关键词
