Abstract
Objective To understand the occurrence and severity of gastrointestinal symptoms, and its influence on quality of life of uremic patients with hemodialysis. Methods A cross-section study was conducted in 150 uremic patients with hemodialysis for their gastrointestinal symptoms and quality of life through Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale (GSRS) and Kidney Disease Quality of Life Short Form (KDQOL-SFTM 1.3) and single factor and multifactor analysis were applied for influence analysis. Results The total average score of GSRS was 1.34±0.34, with an occurrence rate of 78.7%. In young patients aged from 18 to 44, reflux, abdominal pain and eating disorder had impact on their quality of life(P<0.05);In those aged from 45 to 59, reflux, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea and eating disorder had impact on their quality of life (P<0.05). In elderly patients over 60, eating disorder had impact on their quality of life (P<0.05). Conclusion With high prevalence up to 78.7%, uremic patients with hemodialysis experience slight degree of gastrointestinal symptoms and the improvement of gastrointestinal symptoms of hemodialysis patients will lead to the improvement of their quality of life.关键词
