Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of family nursing intervention on quality of life and family function of postoperative patients with early-stage cervical cancer. Methods With convenience sampling, 226 patients from general hospitals were divided into experiment group and control group. Patients in control group received routine postoperative nursing while those in experiment group individual family nursing intervention including a family care team, physiology rehabilitation, emotional release management, informal social support systems and home follow-up monitoring. Functional Assessment Cancer Therapy-Cervix (FACT-CX), Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI)and Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scales (FACES) were used for the evaluation, and two independent samples t-test and paired t-test were applied one week and six months after operation, respectively. Results Six months after the intervention, in experiment group the total score of the quality of life (t=6.906, P=0.000), the score of sexual function (t=8.843, P=0.000) , that of cohesion (t=3.524, P=0.001) and that of adaptability (t=3.704, P=0.000) were higher than those in control group. Conclusion Family nursing intervention should be enhanced for postoperative patients with early-stage cervical cancer since the improvement of family adaptability and cohesion benefits patients ’ quality of life and sexual life.关键词
