摘要

Abstract

A Wphase surge arrestor exploded in some 500 kV substation in Bayannuur. The result of the experimental data of surge arrester, fault recorded graphics and transmission lines detailed health examination comes about that the failure is due to lightning strikes on the line, which resulted in W-phase of 5051 and 5052 circuit breaker trip. Before the short time from 497.4 ms to 597.4 ms of the 5051 W-phase reclose, line L3 suffered long time from lightning strike overvoltage, which caused the surge arrester destoried. The author put forward to carry out arrester electrified testing carefully, strengthen the inspection of surge arrester, and strengthen the fault section monitoring to prevent the similar fault.
