摘要

Abstract

Calculation of soil erosion intensity classification based on field survey, remote sensing informat ion, and soil erosion model is an important method to monitor and analyze the long-term regional soil erosion. In this paper, Jingbian Count y of Shaanxi Province located in the hilly and gully region of northwest loess plat eau and H engxian County of Guangxi Province lo-cated in the southw est mountainous region of China were selected as the study area. Based on f ield investigation and remot e sensing data, regional soil erosion quantit y in a 30 m pixel scale was calculated using the CSLE model. Soil erosion intensity clas-sificat ion indexes ( three factors method) of the Minist ry of Water Resources w ere used to classify the soil erosion intensity in the study area. The results showed that the results obtained from the CSLE model are better than those from the three factors met hod; compared w ith results f rom t he three factors method and the second national soil erosion remote sensing survey pro-gram, areas of extremely intense soil erosion and severe soil erosion from the CSLE model method account for a larger propor-tion Applicat ion soil erosion model to monitor and analyze the variation of each index can benefit the long-term monitoring of soil erosion and provide reasonable explanation; how ever, factor value assignment can have a great impact on the model results.
