Abstract
There are altogether five films so far featuring the Battle of Stalingrad worldwide , each interpreting the war from a unique perspective in accordance with the social environment and humanistic factors of the country in which the film was produced .On the one hand , the artistic nature and noumenal value orientation of film-making requires that films break through the shackles of ideology;and on the other hand , the industrialization and commer-cialization of films prevents film-makers from being overly individualistic and willful but rather calls on films to keep closer to their attribute of being a cultural commodity .As the Battle of Stalingrad has a lot to offer to film-makers, it is contended that ensuing films intent on featuring this war have a deeper reflection on the essence of war so as to give viewers some sort of enlightenment .关键词
