摘要
Abstract
Henan is a province abundant with diverse forms of folk art and folk culture .As one of the major cradles of the Central Plains civilization , Henan has not only witnessed the vicissitudes of dynastic succession and changes but also fostered a raft of artworks distinctive of the times and localities .Much to our relief , these traditional art-works have sustained till now against the passage of time , many of which are still influencing people ’ s lives with great vigor and vitality .Highly representative of these artworks are the handicrafts of ‘Nigugu ’ in Xunxian County and ‘Ninigou’ in Huaiyang County , both of which , though different in cultural background , geographical circum-stance and historical origin, share many similarities in raw material, color, and shape.In view of the similarities and differences between the two , this paper aims to explore the nuances of them in artistic expression to reveal the underlying cultural connotations that they carry .关键词
