Analysis of the Core Technology Evolution Based on Patent Family---Taking Solar Photovoltaic Battery Technology as An example

Abstract
Analysis of the core technology evolution using patent data is the current research hot issue theoretically and practically. Taking solar photovoltaic technology as an example, based on the analysis from the perspective of patent family, this paper conducts an analysis of the evolution path of core technology from patent family number, area distribution, citation analysis, patent co-occurrence network and other aspects. The development of solar photovoltaic technology is divided into three periods:new technology category emergence period, technology perfecting period, and technology adjustment period. The path of evolution of the core technology is from l03-e05b ( solar cells) to u12-a02a5 (assemblies of solar cells), and then to l04-c11c (semiconductor processing-electrodes). Analysis of the disparity between China and America, Japan and Europe in the related technology patent family suggest that China should grasp this opportunity of technical adjustment period and narrow the technology gap with America, Japan and Europe.关键词
