Study on Subject Classification of Papers Published in Multidisciplinary Journals

Abstract
There are two major subject classification methods, including journal-level classification system and subject classification of scientific publications. This paper uses reference analysis and method of cognitive words from corporate addresses to analyze the delimita-tion of scientific subfields and life science of journal SCIENCE as an empirical analysis. 74 JCR classifications are defined as life sciences, references were analyzed combined with the schedule for matching the full name and abbreviated name of the journals referred to;105 ad-dress cognitive words are extracted, and then on this basis cognitive words were analyzed. As a result, using two methods, the paper cate-gorized 10,397 papers with 3 types of references in SCIENCE journals in 1999 -2013 into life science subject, which accounts for 59. 12 percent share of all papers.关键词
