Abstract
The real‐time rendering technique is an important topic in CG ,however complex models take huge challenge to real‐time rendering .As an effective way to control model’s precision ,LOD algorithm receives widely recognition in recent years .But most of the existing algorithms are not well considered in computational complexity and maintain the shape characteristics .In view of the above problems ,this paper proposes a method to generate LODs based on half‐edge col‐lapse ,the improving aspects include spatial distance calculation ,holding the sharp features and illumination effect .The experimental results show this algorithm can keep the sharp characters well ,and implement quickly and effective .关键词
