Probability distribution model and value range research on physical and mechanical parameters of tailing silt soils

Abstract
Through sorting out a large amount of mine tailings data and based on the probability distribution hypothesis test and truncation reliability probability, an optimal probability distribution model for different silty soil tailing's physical and mechanical parameters were established, the reasonable value range of parameters were put forwarded, and a comparative analysis on physical and mechanical properties of the silt soil tailing was carried out. The results show that the variation coefficient of physical parame-ters is small, but the mechanical parameters are characterized as opposite features. The physical and mechanical parameters of different mineral tailing silt mostly accord with the optimal probability model of normal distribution or lognormal distribution. Tak-ing 68% confidence probability as the truncation reliability probability, the value ranges of physical and mechanical parameters of silt tailing were recommended, which can provide significant important references for the reliability design of tailings project and engineering properties research of fine-grained tailings.关键词
