Abstract
In order to analyze the impact of urbanization on river network of Pudong New Zone of Shanghai City, from the as-pects of river network system structure and function, the river network evolution characteristics and its response to the urbaniza-tion process are studied by indices of river area, river quantity, river-system connectivity etc. The results showed that affected by the rapid urbanization, great changes occurred in river network of Pudong New Zone from 2000 to 2010;river length and area decreased significantly while the river patches increased;in the view of index variation trend, the river system connectivity, river area, fragmentation were the best in 2000;in 2010, the water quality index was the best and other indices were the worst. The research results provided the basis for water system protection and restoration in this region.关键词
