摘要

Abstract

In view of the problem that the changes of mineral aggregate gradation usually affects stability of asphalt concrete, the mineral gradation adjustment and Marshall stability experiments are carried out for three types of mineral samples that are from a roller compacted asphalt concrete project, namely the commission examination specimen, field sampling specimen and the spec-imen through preheating sepearting treatment. It can be concluded that the mineral aggregate gradation may be different for the reasons such as the representativeness of the specimen, the possible deviated stability of mineral aggregates, the mineral powder loss induced by mineral filtration in hot air of mixing machine etc. However, if we take the designed mix proportion as a basis and adjust the composition of mineral aggregate moderately, making the adapted aggregate gradation curve fit the design curve, then the prepared asphalt concrete would have the same Marshall stability with the designed one.
