Abstract
The system of key soil-water loss control zone is stipulated in the newly revised "Law of the People's Republic of China on Water and Soil Conservation", and it is required that the governments at or above the county level should carry out the division of key prevention zone and regulation zone for soil-water loss ("2 zones" in brief) . This paper introduces the history and background of the division of key control zones for soil-water loss, defines its objective and significance, discusses the prin-ciples, conditions and indexes of the division, and proposes the preliminary recheck and division scheme of the"2 zones" in Hu-bei Province, which can provide guidance for compiling of "Planning of water and soil conservation in Hubei Province" and su-pervision works in project construction.关键词
