摘要

Abstract

We summarize some experiences and lessons in thermal control and crack prevention during construction of several high arch dams in dry-hot valley region, such as Ertan, Xiaowan, Xiluodu and Jinping I arch dams. Combing with the case of Wudongde high arch dam that is also in dry-hot valley, we carried out sensitivity analysis on the key factors in thermal control work such as pouring temperature, pouring layer thickness, space of cooling pipeline, and propose a new thermal control concept that the whole dam section is in a constraint state during the whole construction period, further specific suggestions are put for-ward for effective control of vertical temperature gradient and inner-outside temperature gradient of concrete. These experiences and methods could be referred by other high arch dams built in dry-hot valley.
