Abstract
The upstream section of stage II longitudinal cofferdam of Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station is located on deep overbur -den layer with depth of 45 to 62 m.In order to increase the foundation bearing capacity of deep overburden layer and ensure the cofferdam stability under different water levels , the joint and diversion sections of the cofferdam were designed as flexible struc-ture.Then the construction procedure , construction technology and treatment of abnormal situation involved in foundation treat -ment of flexible structure section are introduced in detail .The cofferdam has experienced two flood seasons in 2009 and 2010 , and the safety monitoring result and actual operation situation indicate that the flexible structure is stable , which save investment and accelerate the construction schedule .关键词
