Abstract
The special characteristics of expansive soil bring harm to the engineering structures built on it, especially to the ca-nal structures. So the safety monitoring of expansive soil canal is crucial. Combining with the safety monitoring of trial section of the expansive soil canal of Middle Route Project of South to North Water Diversion, which is a key part of the 12th Five-Year Plan of Science and Technology Development Program, the application of safety monitoring technologies in the expansive soil ca-nal safety monitoring is summarized and the application prospects are analyzed. It provides fundamental information for the study of expansive soil canal deformation and failure mechanism and treatment design.关键词
