摘要

Abstract

With the analysis of movement law of density current in Taohe River and the characteristics of discharging sediment during the low water level period of Liujiaxia Reservoir and the establishment of calculation formula of density current duration had been used to direct the reservoir operation and the remarkable effect of discharging sediment had been achieved. The outcomes show that during the period of 1969~2010,there are 4. 267 × 108 t sediment has been discharged from Liujiaxia Reservoir in which 3. 542 × 108 t sediment with density current and 0. 430 × 108 t sediment with discharging sediment in low water level making up 93% of total amount sediment which coming from Taohe River during flood seasons. And advices about research of Liujiaxia Reservoir sediment discharging was proposed:a)The Sediment discharge plan during early operating period of desilting tunnel at Taohe River entrance should be researched;b)Density current in the Yellow River main stream measurement and research should be carried out.
