Abstract
Objective: To observe the effect of Comfeel Plus Transparent Dressing in preventing phlebitis induced by iron sucrose injection. Methods:Two hundred and twenty-four patients who accepted iron sucrose intravenous infusion were divided into two groups with 112 cases each according to the start date of chemotherapy: odd-numbered and plural-numbered group. In observation group, the site 2cm away from the proximal part of the puncturing point was covered by 10cm × 10cm Comfeel Plus Transparent Dressing , then a 3M transparent dressing was used to fix the detaining needle. In the control group, only the 3M transparent dressing was used to fix the detaining needle. The incidence of phlebitis, pain in the puncturing area, and nursing comfort were observed in both groups. Results:The incidence of phlebitis in observation group was 9. 8% (11/112), which was lower than that in control group(30. 4% , 34/112) (P<0. 05) significantly. The incidence of pain in puncturing point was 6. 3% (7/112) in observation group and 24. 1% (27/112) in control group with significant difference(P<0. 05) . The rate of nursing comfort was 92. 8% (104/112) in observation group, which was higher than that in control group(80. 4%, 90/112) (P <0. 05) significantly. Conclusion: Comfeel Plus Transparent Dressing can effectively prevent phlebitis which is induced by iron sucrose injection, as well as reduce the pain in punctu-ring area and improve the nursing comfort of patients. It is worthy of clinical application.关键词
