摘要

Abstract

The increase of deformation and the decrease of strength will occur when the soft clay is under the wave cyclic loading. Study of soft clay softening characteristics is of great value for engineering practice and preven-tion of engineering accidents. In this paper, the abroad and domestic research progress, factors affecting the soften-ing of soft clay, softening mechanism and common softening models of soft clay were introduced. Then the precau-tion for softening of soft clay was discussed.
