摘要

Abstract

The water flow regime of sharp bend reach is complicated. The width of channel for ship crossing the bend reach is much greater than the line width of channel and the general bending section of the river channel width. According to the ship model test results of Makou reach in the lower reaches of Hanjiang River, the relation-ship between channel width for ship crossing the bend reach and flow were summarized. The results indicate that the navigation width for ship sailing upward through the bend is much smaller than sailing downward with the same speed. The ship track width and the channel width increase with the increasing of velocity and flow angle. On this basis, width calculation formula of Makou sharp bend reach was built.
