Abstract
The space for performing and watching Kunqu opera in Chinese traditional garden is the mutual product of Suzhou traditional garden and Kunqu opera and has extraordinary cultural,aesthetic and research value. Through literature review,site measuring and scene simulation,this article analyzed and interpreted three main spaces for performing and watching opera in Liuyuan Garden from the aspects of size,combination pattern,and sight views and activities,and explored the mechanism of influence between garden space and opera activities. The results show:these three spaces all have their own characteristics both in physical and mental aspects and show different influence patterns. The Kunqu opera activities are quite harmonious with these three spaces and gradually the space for performing and watching Kunqu opera is formed with distinctive Chinese traditional characteristics.关键词
