Abstract
In Western gardens, the design of hedgerow fully reflects the geometric cogitation and logic. The applications of hedgerow in western gardens went through a spiral development process, and gradually formed a building feature of using geometric cogitation to integrate the space, and created basic skeleton by hedgerow. Especially in the Renaissance and Baroque periods, hedgerow played an important part of garden art. The use of hedgerow in building of western gardens and similarities and differences between western and traditional Chinese gardens were showed by the analysis of vision and spatial relationships of Villa Medici in Rome.关键词
