Expression changes of TLR2 in fetal membranes of patients with preterm premature rupture of membranes and the significance

Abstract
Objective To observe the expression changes of toll-like receptor 2 ( TLR2) in fetal membranes of pa-tients with preterm premature rupture of membranes ( PPROM) and to investigate the significance .Methods Ninety-eight cases of PPROM women were enrolled .According to the pathological test results , they were divided into non-inflamed PPROM group (non-inflamed group, n=48), mild subclinical chorioamnionitis group (mild inflammation group, n=17), moderate subclinical chorioamnionitis group ( moderate inflammation group , n=21 ) and severe subclinical chorioamnionitis group (severe inflammation group, n=12) group.The expression of TLR2 in fetal membranes was determined by immuno-histochemistry in each group .Results The expression of TLR2 in the moderate and severe inflammation groups was higher than that of the non-inflamed group , severe inflammation group >moderate inflammation group >severe inflammation group (all P<0.05).Conclusions The expression of TLR2 is up-regulated in PPROM women with subclinical chorio-amnionitis, which is associated with its pathogenesis .关键词
