FNAC 在腮腺肿瘤性疾病诊断中的价值
Diagnostic value of fine needle aspiration cytology in parotid neoplasms

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of preoperative fine needle aspiration cytology ( FNAC) in pa-rotid gland lesions .Methods The retrospective analysis of 56 patients with parotid neoplasms who underwent preoperative FNAC diagnosis was conducted , and then their FNAC results were compared with the postoperative histopathologic results . Results FNAC results:among 56 patients , 38 cases were diagnosed as benign lesions , 12 cases were malignant and 6 cases were suspicious .Compared with the conventional histopathologic resluts , FNAC showed that 36 cases were true-nega-tive and 2 cases were false-negative regarding detection of malignant tumors .The FNAC diagnosis achieved a sensitivity of 85.7%, a specificity of 94.7%, the positive predictive value (PPV) of 85.7%, NPV of 94.7%and diagnostic accuracy of 92.3%.Conclusion FNAC is an economical, fast, safe and diagnostic tool with rare complications and high diagnos-tic accuracy in the diagnosis of parotid gland tumors .关键词
