Abstract
Objective To observe the reaction of visual cortex on the repeated periorbital alternating current stimula-tion ( rPACS) of monocular deprivation mouce and to invesitaget the influence of rPACS on the ocular dominance shift. Methods Thirty mice were divided into three groups:normal group which didn't reciervie the processing, monocular dep-rivation group ( DM group) and stimulation group which received the monocular deprivation ( right eye) to make the ambly-opia models. Then the right eyes of the stimulation group were stimulated with rPACS for three days, tha DM group and the control group was not treated. After all this processing, we detected the binocular pattern visual evoked potential ( PVEP) , recorded the binocular PVEP amplitudes and latencies, and calculated C/I ratio ( contralateral VEP amplitude to inspilater-al VEP ampllitude) .Results Compared with the stimulation group and normal group, the PVEP P100 amplitudes of the right eyes in the DM group were decreased, and were lower than the left eyes (all P<0.05).Meanwhile, the PVEP P100 latencies of the DM group were longer than those of the other two groups, and in the DM group, the latencies in the right eye were longer than those of the left eye (all P<0.05).As for the C/I ratio in the right eys, the DM group was lower than that of the normal group and stimulation group (P<0.05).Conclusion Aftet the monocular deprivation, the ocular dominance column can shift from the deprived eye to the follow eye in the sensitive period of visual development, and rPACS can shift it back.关键词
