Abstract
This article discusses the concept and the origin of the five elements color, and the influence of the five elements color on the formation of Chinese painting color characteristics. On the one hand, the theory of orthodox color and the secondary color alows the Chinese color to have a very scientific and complete color system. On the other hand, the Yin-Yang and five elements make the color associated with material, orientation and space, and this leads to a unique use of color in Chinese painting: ethical, symbolic and generality.关键词
