数字建筑设计与结构形态探索
The Research on Digital Architectural Design and Structural Form

Abstract
There are great differences between architectural design and structural design in the aspects of thinking mode and design objective. The design of practical projects always develops along with compromise between the two professions. This working pattern is not considered as an effective way for structures in taking its good effects in architectural design, and may probably lead to waste. Penetration of contemporary digital technologies in architectural industry makes it possible for the architectural and structural design to be integrated on the digital platform. In the 2014 Tsinghua parametric design workshop, forms of folding plate structure are explored along with the teaching process of Grasshopper. Form generation and structural simulation are carried out on the Grasshopper platform. Laser cutting and 3D printing technologies are also employed in elements fabrication. This article introduces the technical issues and thinking related to this experimental project.关键词
