The Evaluation of Environmental Efficiency of Electric Power Industry and the Relationship with Renewable Energy Power Development-Based on the DEA Method of Unexpected Output

Abstract
The problems of energy and environment are the most prominent issue that restrict the economic and social development of our country. This paper calculates the environmental efficiency of power industry in China in 1993-2011 based on the DEA method of unexpected output, the results show that the environmental efficiency of power industry first decreases and after the increase, which presents a trend of V. The economic development pattern de-termines the change of electric power industry environment efficiency. Further, we compare the proportion of re-newable energy power with the environmental efficiency of power industry. They show a significant positive correla-tion, which indicate renewable energy power plays a vital role to promote the environmental efficiency of power in-dustrial. Renewable energy power not only reduces the foreign-trade dependence of energy production in China, but also greatly improves the environment efficiency of electric power industry.关键词
