摘要

Abstract

The length of aerated cavity is a core hydraulic indicator to measure the effect of aeration. As few research results focusing on the calculation of the length of lateral air cavity, the characteristics of cavity and jet dispersion of lateral aerator with different ridge height and slope formed in chute are investigated based on laboratory model experiments and dimensional analysis, and then the influence of lateral aerator's design value and inlet flow's hydraulics parameters on the length of lateral air cavity are analyzed. The formula for calculating the length of lateral air cavity is finally derived and verified by experimental data. The verifications show that the formula can more accurately estimate the length of lateral air cavity.
