Abstract

In this paper , the effects of decorative veneer and structure on the thermal conductivity of parquet were analyzed in or -der to provide technological support for improving the thermal conductivity of parquet .The temperature changes of parquet with four different decorative veneers and three different structures were tested .The results showed that the types of decorative veneer had a sig-nificant influence on the heat conduction performance of parquet .Black walnut as the decorative veneer had the best thermal conduc -tivity, followed by birch, and maple was the worst.This is mainly because that the decorative veneer with bigger density has better thermal conductivity , faster heat transfer , and less heat loss .The structure of parquet also had influence on the heat conduction .If the panels for the three-layer solid wood composite floor were sawing thin plates , then the thermal conductivity would be better , while multi-layer solid wood composite floor had the worse thermal conductivity .Therefore, parquet serving as heating floor should use sa-wing thin plates and tree species with bigger density should be used as decorative veneer .
