Abstract

The experimental study on reclaimed asphalt pavement ( RAP) from an expressway in Nanjing was carried out .After adding appropriate amount of regeneration agent in recycled asphalt and evaluating the performance of regenerated asphalt , the authors found that the performance of recycled asphalt was improved .According to the method of concrete mix design , the concrete mix ratios for the plant-mixed hot recycling asphalt mixture ( with 30%RAP) and common asphalt mixture were designed , and the high tempera-ture performance, water stability, low temperature performance, and fatigue performance were evaluated .The research showed that with 30%RAP, the performance of plant-mixed hot recycling asphalt mixture can meet the requirements of specification .Compared with ordinary asphalt mixture , the plant-mixed hot recycling asphalt mixture had better high temperature performance and water stabili -ty, but worse low temperature performance and fatigue performance; certain amount of regeneration agent can effectively improve the water stability , low temperature performance , and fatigue performance of plant-mixed hot recycling asphalt mixture .
