Survey of demands of comprehensive hospitals to male nurses
摘要
Abstract
Objective:To know about the cognition and demands of comprehensire hospitals to male nurses,and provide the evidences for the recruitment and training of male nurses.Methods:Self made questionnaire was used for investigating the cognition and demands of the patients and their family members and clinical medical personnel in 5 comprehensive hospitals Northeast Sichuan in on male nurses,and to analyze the survey results. Results:The clinical medical personnel,patients and their family members have higher demand for male nurses, the demand rate of doctors and the nurses was respectively 81.0% and 94.2%;the demand rate of the patients and their family members was respectively 61.0% and 68.6%;the total awareness rate of the medical personnel and patients and their family members was 66.5%,among them,medical personnel’s was higher than that of patients and their family members(P<0.01);patients and their family members in targeted department had higher demand rate for the male nurses,reached 63.0%.The patients and their family members in control de-partment and other departments had lower demand rate for male nurses,and the demand rate in department of gynecology and obstetrics was only 14.3%,that in other departments was 30.4%,and the difference was statis-tically significant(P<0.01);in the total respondents and,the proportion that male nurse service does not be ac-cepted accounted for 25.5%,and the proportion in department of obstetrics and gynecology was higher(71.4%) than that in target department and other departments(P<0.01).Conclusion:The comprehensive hospitals in Northeast Sichuan area at present have a greater demand for male nurses,so medical colleges and schools can strengthen the training potency dimension.It suggested that comprehensive hospitals attract more male nurses in the nursing work,give full play to the advantages of male nurses,so as to promote the healthy development of male nurses team.关键词
