Abstract
Xiang Zi has always been the core of the research of Lao She's Camel Xiangzi . There have also been some insightful comments for Hu Niu and Xiao Fuzi who play a key role in the struggle in Xiang Zi's personal life. However, there is little discussion for Er Qiangzi. In fact, the character of Er Qiangzi has a very important function for narrative in the article. He is not only the civilian representatives living in an urban underclass but also the mirror of Xiang Zi' s individualistic struggle in life. In this paper, we interpreted Er Qiangzi's irreplaceable function in shaping the image of Xiang Zi's personality variation and degradation through the inter-pretation of Er Qiangzi and his family tragedy.关键词
