Abstract
Climate change is highly related to human survival and development. The world has already reached a consensus to jointly cope with climate change. This paper introduces the background of coping with climate change, international laws and regulations, current situation, pressure on SINOPEC and how to accomplish these works. This paper also introduces the connotation of carbon assets, how to develop carbon assets, how to apply for CDM or CCER projects, the value and realization of carbon assets, and how to manage carbon assets. Human factors are the main cause of climate change. The international community has reached the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol to cope with climate change, which established the cooperative framework and legal foundation for the international community in coping with climate change. Carbon asset management is a new inter-disciplinary subject, and carbon asset values could be achieved only by enforcing the management.关键词
