Abstract
Objective To compare the effects of amlodipine and losartan on diurnal variations of blood pressure. Methods 155 hypertensive patients with acute stroke were administered with amlodipine and losartan. Their effects in depressurization were compared in terms of averaged blood pressure at awaking , sleeping and pre-awaking in the morning. Results By ITT analysis, average systolic blood pressure (SD) was decreased to 11.71 mmHg as compared to pre-treatment value of 14.82 mmHg in the amlodipine group and 12.69 mmHg as compared to the pre-treatment value of 13.11 in the losartan group , which proved that amlodipine was superior to losartan (mean difference:1.71 mmHg). In PP analysis, average systolic blood pressure values (SD) were decreased to 11.33 mmHg as compared to the pre-treatment 16.06 mmHg in the amlodipine group and 11.85 mmHg as compared to the pre-treat value of 17.17 mmHg in the losartan group, without significant difference (mean difference: -1.11 mmHg). Amlodipine reduced the surge trend of morning blood pressure and decreased mutilation rate and fatality rate. Conclusion Amlodipine can reduce blood pressure variation and stroke occurrence.关键词
