Influence of groundwater recharge on aquifer water quality in Beijing section of South-to-North Water Diversion Project

Abstract
In this study , underground sand specimens near the water-regulating tank in Beijing for the South-to-North Water Diversion Project , groundwater samples , and Danjiangkou Reservoir water samples were collected . Through laboratory simulation of the aquifer , the water hydro-chemical action of mixed reservoir water , groundwater , and aquifer media with different rations were analyzed , and the change in the hydro-chemical composition with time was examined .Experimental results showed that the water quality indices changed due to soluble salt dissolution , mineral dissolution-precipitation , microbiological action , and cation exchange adsorption , but the water quality met the grade I or II standards of the groundwater quality standards of China .关键词
