Abstract
Tonga had had their local religious belief since ancient times,which however,was liquidated and replaced by western Christianity at the beginning of the 19th century.Christianity took place,laid foun-dations as the Tongan mainstream religion,and triggered a vast and swift change upon Tongan politics,eco-nomics,culture,education,and other social aspects.Up till today,Christianity has become an important part of modern Tongan life.关键词
