摘要

Abstract

The function of engine cooling system is to ensure the engine is working under the most suitable temperature rang. En-gine overheating or undercooling problem will appear when engine cooling system has fault, and it will lead to engine power reduction, fuel consumption rate increase and unstable operation, and even cause loaded parts damage, piston stuck in the cylinder or piston scraping when the problem gets worse. The cooling system of Cummins QSK60 engine adopts double pumps and dual cycle loop struc-ture. This article illustrates the working principle, analyzes the failure causes of cooling system and puts forward the corresponding ma-intenance method according to the practical experience.
