摘要

Abstract

In this study ,the differential equations of a wire cable isolator are established under the joint action of basic excitation and harmonic force .T he corresponding frequency response e‐quations are then derived ,and their numerical solutions are obtained by using MATLAB .The frequency‐amplitude relations ,which reflect the effect of mass ,damping ,nonlinear stiffness coef‐ficient and linear stiffness on the frequency respouse characteristics of the wire cable isolator ,ex‐hibit similar and consistent monotonicity .The hysteretic force does not show regularity .In the lower frequency range ,the curve shows the softening characteristics ,while displaying hardeing characteristic within the higher frequency domain .The amplitude curve independently increases or decreases as frequency changes ,thus indicating softening or hardening of nonlinear characteris‐tics .
