Abstract
Evaluating the competitiveness of the construction industry reasonably and objectively and analyzing its advantages and disadvantages in different aspects has important significances to the development of construction industry according to local conditions. By building the evaluation index system of construction industry competitiveness, we used factor analysis method firstly to deal with the data from National Bureau of Statstics of PRC,the results show that there are three common factors including scale, technology and profitability that affect the competitiveness of construction industry, then scores of every common factoras well as the level of comprehensive competitiveness of 31 provinces’ construction industry were calculated,and comprehensive competitiveness and advantages and disadvantages in different aspects of construction industry in every province were evaluated. Then, 31 provinces were divided into five categories through cluster analysis on this basis, and a comprehensive and detailed analysis of the results was made in order to provide a reference for formulating every province’ s construction industry development strategies and related policies in China.关键词
