Abstract

Cushion plays a pile-soil deformation coordination role in the rigid pile composite foundation , its thickness and deformation modulus characteristics have a great impact on bearing behavior rigid pile composite foundation. When cushion key parameters value within the normal value range in engineering, the impact on bearing capacity behaviors of rigid pile composite foundation is not clear. In order to approach the effect of cushion thickness and deformation modulus in the range of normal values on the bearing characters in rigid pile composite foundation, engineering example was calculated and analyzed. The results show that when the thickness of cushion within the range of 100 mm to 500 mm and deformation modulus varied in the range of 40 MPa to 140 MPa it has a great effect on pile-soil stress ratio but little on the settlement. In addition, the negative friction as the pile penetrated the cushion negative has a certain influence on the bearing of the pile, but limited on the total settlement of composite foundation. The effect of the penetration of the pile end can be ignored in the settlement calculation composite foundation.
