Unban Consumption and Experiences:A Case Study of Ding Ling Living in Shanghai during the 1930s
摘要
Abstract
Ding Ling, the famous female writer of China, had created many works with the subject of metropolis living in Shanghai. These works have the characters of consuming culture and full of taste belonging to the petty bourgeoisie. The couples were one of members of petty bourgeoisie. They were poor while they had strong desire of urban consumption and enjoyed the urban civili-zation greatly. They rented different residences and migrated usually. It means that they can’ t afford their private estate but they would rather live in the rich residence with foreign neighbors. And these rich residences are mostly located in the different conces-sions with developed commercial centers, which left the great tension between revolution and consumption.关键词
