A New Digital Beamforming Algorithm Based on Virtual Array Element
摘要
Abstract
The antenna array is directional,composed of directional antenna elements.When the digital beamforming for incident signal is performed by using this directional antenna array,the discontinuity may occur at the boundary of a sector.Aiming at the special directional antenna array of a detection system,a new digital beamforming method based on virtual antenna is proposed in this paper. Based on in⁃depth analysis on the discontinuity at the boundary of a sector,it is concluded that,if the phase weighting is performed only for receive data and no amplitude correction is done,high discontinuity may occur at the boundary when the antenna element combina⁃tion is changed.In order to solve the discontinuity at the boundary of a sector,the new algorithm is worthy in engineering,and the practi⁃cal engineering applications prove its availability applicability.关键词
