Abstract
Crack prevention, crack-resistance design, and construction experience of two CFRDs with height over 100m each built in high-cold and high evaporation region in Xinjiang are introduced .The face concrete of CFRD of Chanhanwusu Hydropower Station is mixed with polypropylene fibre to prevent cracking .But the concrete face cracks a lot later because of the difficulty of curing due to cli-mate.Based on the experience and lessons from the practice of the CFRD of Chahanwusu Hydropower Station, the face concrete of the CFRD of Liushugou Hydropower Station is mixed with Rosay vegetable fibre and steel fibre to increase its crack resistance.This prac-tice demonstrates that in the construction of Liushugou Hydropower Station, under the same construction and curing conditions as those in construction of Chahanwusu Hydropower Station, the concrete with steel fibre obviously improves the initial cracking strength and breaking resistance of the concrete at the special compressive and tensile positions and the concrete with the Rosay fibre improves highly the crack resistance as well.关键词
