摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between the level of serum N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP)and left ventricular function in elderly patients with chronic heart failure(CHF)and the clinical significance. Meth-ods A total of 261 elderly patients with CHF,who were hospitalized in the hospital from December 2010 to October 2012,were selected as CHF group including three subgroups:gradeⅡof cardiac function(n=61),gradeⅢ(n=156) and gradeⅣ(n=44) ac cording to the stage division of New York Heart Association(NYHA). Other 60 patients with normal cardiac function and non-heart disease were chosen as control group. The NT-proBNP levels in the four groups were determined by electrical chemilumines-cence immunoassay analysis method,and left ventricular end-diastolic dimension(LVEDD) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) were detected by cardiac color ultrasound. Results Compared with the control group,the NT-proBNP levels and LVEDD in the CHF group increased obviously,the LVEF declined apparently,and the differences had statistical significance(P<0.01). The serum NT-proBNP level increased gradually with the increase of NYHA cardiac functional grade,pairwise comparison among the three subgroups had statistically significant difference(P<0.01). The NT-proBNP level was positively correlated with LVEDD(r=0.689,P<0.01),but negatively correlated with LVEF(r=-0.760,P<0.01). Conclusion The serum level of NT-pro BNP has important evaluation effects on cardiac function of CHF patients.关键词
