Abstract
Through analyzing the lightning location monitoring data from 43 sites in Xinjiang in 2012, it is found that the lightning monitoring was well consistent with the manual observation of thunderstorm in the time distribution. Nevertheless, there was a large difference in spatial distribution between Altay and Kashi region. The agreement between thunderstorm observed in the observatories and lightning recorded at the lightning location monitoring stations was as high as 64%, therefore, it showed the monitoring results was effective. The negative cloud-to-ground lightning account for 90%, which was far more than the positive cloud-to-ground lightning, while the intensity of positive cloud-to-ground lightning was greater than the negative cloud-to-ground lightning. The steepness of lightning current mainly distributed between -20 and 20 kA/?s, which is even greater than actual monitoring value of the lightning locator.关键词
