摘要
Abstract
Applying Halliday’s Transitivity System to the analysis of Robert Browning’s Pippa’s Song and its two Chinese translations,this paper makes a comparison of its process types,participants and circumstantial elements with those in the two translated versions. Through the comparison,the dynamic and static features of the original poem and its translated versions are respectively elaborated.The result suggests that under transitivity system,the first translated version is more faithful to the original and expresses more of the static beauty. Therefore,it has been proved that transitivity system can be set as a standard for the translation of English poems.关键词
