地方高校学报的现状、问题与对策
Status Quo, Problems and their Countermeasures of the Local Universities'Journals
摘要
Abstract
The general level of local university journals in Sichuan Province is not compatible with the fast development of higher education, and the journals have such problems as low social status,shortage of funds, lack of professional editors, inferior academic standards and lack of distinctiveness etc. The major reasons behind these problems are that some universities do not understand properly theroles and importance of the joumals, some editorial boards only exist in name, and the university authorities fail to design and establish incentive scheme for the development of researches and publications in the joumals. Therefore, to improve the overall standard of the joumals, the authorities of theuniversities shall include in their agenda for the development of the universities that of the journals and have the innovative awareness that the development of university joumals reflect that of the university itself. They should introduce talents from outside and visit places with higher level journals to draw on their experiences. By strengthening academic exchanges with other universities and institutions, they should develop the qualities and quaMcations of the editors and establish a clearly defined responsibility system for the chief editors, deputy chief editors and editors. Before publication, the theses and articles in the journals shall be reviewed and inspected for three times and proofread for one time. Complete systems for the management of the journals shall be established to improve the efficiency of the editorial department. They should design new columns and collect papers in response to the demands of the universities to promote the development of the local universities.关键词
