摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of green tea extracts Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) on inhibiting the growth and reducing acid production of Streptococcus mutans ,and to provide evidence for the pre-vention of den tal caries .Methods The inhibition zone was used to observe the effects of EGCG on growth of Streptococcus mutans and the changes of acid producing capacity of Streptococcus mutans .Results EGCG could inhibit the growth and reduce the acid production of Streptococcus mutans significantly .The minimum in-hibitory concentrations was 6.25 mg/L.With the increase of drug concentration , the diameter of the inhibition zone increased .But the changes of pH was reduced .Conclusion EGCG may be a potential antibacterial and anticaries medicine .关键词
